My wife and I have been working our way through all of the Star Trek movies in release date order, and we just finished Generations. So, perfect timing for First Contact! We’ll watch that tonight.

First contact was made in Bozeman Montana, I am near Kalispell, a bit of a drive but I can get there without to much difficulty.

Glenn Corbett played ZC in the Original Series. I never was thrilled with Babe-The-Pig’s Dad (aka James Cromwell) playing him in the First Contact movie— just thought it was terrible casting.

But, honestly, I’ve lost track of the other occurrences of Cochrane in the various properties— especially since ThatAssholeJJAbrams broke the timeline to shreds in the most recent movies.

And, of course, “Picard” is WAAAAAYYYYY too dark for the tone of the whole continuum.  Gene R would have hated the newest series.

I stopped paying attention after The Next Generation, so sorta hate myself for even caring anymore.

That Shatner documentary (which was probably pay-back to Roddenber ry for something) is a riot for demonstrating what a goat rodeo these productions have always been behind the scenes. “Chaos On The Bridge”

It’s hilarious.
